JB Farrell, CHA

With the recent (2023) addition of live roping steers and a competition-level roping arena, he welcomes students of all levels to learn Roping and Cow Work with him. He’s an accomplished Western instructor and competitor who enjoys helping students progress through the principles of riding into their chosen sport or equine activity. JB teaches students of all ages, and leads our Ranch Excursion program.

Delaney Emerson, 2* FEI USEA/USEF Professional

Head English Instructor, Eventing focus

As the daughter of a riding instructor and trainer, Delaney has been on a horse since before she was born. Her childhood was primarily spent on the back of a pony riding bareback through the pastures. Since then, she’s earned her C+ rating as a member of USPC and has ridden as an FEI competitor in Eventing.

Regardless of level, many riders have benefited from her supportive, knowledgeable, and intuitive teaching style. In 2021 Delaney moved to the East Coast and began working as the main rider for Caroline Martin Eventing, one of the top import and sales businesses in the country. In 2023 she transitioned to working for international five-star eventer Lillian Heard. This opportunity allowed time to focus on producing her own exciting upper-level prospect, a six-year-old OTTB named SD Pomme de Terre (Tatum). Tatum is a 17.1h dark bay OTTB that she purchased as a three-year-old and is carefully producing up the levels.

Sloane Sheppard, CHA

Western Speed Instructor, Equine Care Specialist

Sloane Sheppard is an accomplished barrel racer and a fantastic Western instructor! She is CHA certified Level 2 in Western riding and Level 1 in English. Sloane especially loves working with beginner kids and introducing them to Western riding, barrel racing and speed events.

Most recently Sloane has expanded her equestrian learning and activities to include dressage and showjumping.

Julia Mendoza
