Camps at Panther Creek Stables
Panther Creek Stables offers equestrian camps for all levels of riders, ages 6-18, who want to develop their skills while enjoying summer camp in Mississippi. Our camps are an extension of the Panther Creek Equestrian Program offered throughout the year. When enrolled in our various camps, riders have the unique opportunity to learn from our own full-time equestrian instructors who hold extensive backgrounds in Western and English riding. Please see the different camp types we offer below!

Beginner Horsemanship Camp
We offer both English and Western Camps for our riders between the ages 6-10 with little to no horse riding experience! Campers participate in morning classes five days a week at Panther Creek Stables. These classes are divided into small groups according to age and ability. Each group rotates through practical stable and horse management. Campers will learn how to safely be around horses, build confidence while learning basic barn safety, basic horsemanship, and grooming and tacking up. Students in the beginner program work towards the goal of riding independently at the end of the session.

Advanced Horsemanship Camp
Our advanced camp is offered to riders between the ages 10-15 who have more experience in the saddle! Riders must be able to walk, trot, and canter on a new horse and confidently tack up. Campers will generally ride our Panther Creek owned horses, but can bring their own horse with prior approval from the equestrian director. Our topics include training and competition psychology, equine management care, and more.
- English riders receive daily instruction in dressage, jumping, and equine management.
- Western riders receive daily instruction in horsemanship, rodeo events, and cow work.
